Role & Requirements:
Durbeen is looking for dynamic individuals to join the faculty of the 4-year B.Ed. (Elementary) teaching degree program at the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad campus in Karachi. Applicants should hold an M.Ed. in Teaching / related fields or M.Sc. / M.A. in a subject area with 2+ years of teaching experience.

The teaching load for a Full-Time Lecturer will be three courses per year as well as teaching practice supervision in either the Fall or Spring semester. The faculty member will report to the College’s Vice Rector (Academics).
As an HR professional, you shall be expected to assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts, coordinate employee development plans and performance management as well as recommend strategies to motivate employees.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters or Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related.
3-5 years of experience serving in a similar capacity in an educational institution.
The College Registrar provides leadership and manages the operations of the Office of the Registrar, ensuring that services to the academic units, faculty, students and other stakeholders related to enrolment and academic records are delivered accurately, professionally and in a timely manner. Collaborating and sharing information with an extensive group of internal and external participants. The incumbent will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitate effective student registration and enrollment; build secure student data files and set policy and procedures for their responsible use; maintain up-to-date course schedules, catalogs and final examination schedules; and manage efficient use of classrooms.
This position interprets and enforces policies and regulations of Karachi University and accreditation agencies, and Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The Office of the Registrar also acts as the custodian of syllabi and assures that the College is in compliance with all HEC requirements. The office is also responsible for setting the College Academic Calendar and all communication with students pertaining to academic systems, student life and management.
Qualifications and Experience:
The Registrar is expected to hold graduate degree(s) in, or closely related to, student affairs, higher education management, or policy development in a related field.
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, enrollment management, or student services.
Responsibilities include managing IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services, helping define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes, monitoring performance of systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2-5 years of experience working in IT operations
Facilities Management (KHI)
You will be expected to develop and manage Facility Management Department at the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad campus. Job will consist of supervising and coordinating all infrastructure renovation and installation. Later, you will also be responsible to oversee all building-related activities, preserving the good condition of all facilities, ensuring compliance with all safety and efficiency standards.
Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position, with at least 3 years in a Managerial role.
